Afternoon and Evening Storms
This afternoon, we can expect dry weather early, but conditions are ripe for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms later in the day. The best chance for these storms arises from around 4 PM to 10 PM, especially in areas stretching from Rhinelander to Shawano.

Warm and Humid Conditions Ahead
Today’s heat index will soar into the 90s, making it feel quite hot. Although a cold front is approaching this evening, temperatures are expected to remain close to today’s highs tomorrow. Dew points in the 60s to low 70s will keep the air humid, particularly in east-central Wisconsin. Locations in north-central Wisconsin may experience slightly drier conditions with dew points in the 50s to low 60s.
Looking Ahead
Late Tuesday night into early Wednesday, as another shortwave moves through the region, keep an eye out for additional showers and storms. The potential for severe weather may spread into the southern half of the area. Much of the week will maintain a chance for showers and storms, particularly as the frontal boundary lingers nearby.
