OCT 3 Forecast

3 Things To Know:

  • Expect few sprinkles or light showers north of I-94 tonight.
  • Chilly temperatures with potential frost on Sunday night and Monday night.
  • Dry weather is forecasted into next week.

As we look forward to the weekend here in southeast Wisconsin, chilly temperatures are prevailing, particularly for those waking up this morning. Lows have dipped into the upper 30s and low 40s, with slightly warmer readings along the Lake Michigan shore.

Todayโ€™s Weather Overview

High pressure over Michigan is moving eastward, bringing mostly dry conditions to the region. However, a few sprinkles or light showers are possible into the evening hours as an upper-level trough and a surface cold front pass through. The best chance for rain will be north of Madison and Milwaukee late tonight. Temperature-wise, we can expect a pleasant rebound as highs reach into the middle 60s.

While we might see those light showers, the overall impacts will be minimal. As stated in the NWS discussion:

“Did bump up the low chances for rain/sprinkles tonight as an upper level trough and sfc cold front moves through. [โ€ฆ] If things stay too dry in the low levels this could virga.”

Looking Ahead to Sunday

As we move into Sunday, the cold front will push through during the early morning hours. Expect high temperatures ranging from 65 to 70 degrees, though cooler conditions will follow as we transition into the evening. Once again, overnight lows will drop to the upper 30s and low 40s, with potential for patchy frost in certain areas away from the lake.

Looking further into the week, expect predominantly dry conditions to prevail, with temperatures gradually warming into the middle to upper 60s by Tuesday and into the lower 70s by mid-week.
