SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Dangerous swimming conditions are expected along Lake Michigan in Sheboygan County Tuesday afternoon and evening, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Beach Hazards Statement.
The statement is in effect Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Waves could build to around 4 feet, with onshore winds contributing to potentially life-threatening conditions in the water.
Strong structural and longshore currents are expected, and rip currents will also be possible.
Stay Out of the Water

The National Weather Service recommends staying out of Lake Michigan while the hazardous conditions are occurring. People should also stay away from piers and breakwalls, where high waves and strong currents can be especially dangerous.
