3 Things To Know:
- Temperatures will warm through the holiday weekend, with highs exceeding 80 degrees early next week.
- Intermittent low chances for rain will persist, but organized severe weather is unlikely.
- Lake Michigan will experience some cooling effects due to easterly winds.
Weekend Warming Trend
This weekend is shaping up to be a warm one for Northeast Wisconsin as we transition through a mid-level trough moving east. Temperatures are expected to climb over the holiday weekend, with many areas seeing highs surpassing 80 degrees as we head into early next week.
Low Rain Chances

While there is a slight chance of showers, especially Saturday afternoon and evening in central Wisconsin, the odds of organized rainfall or severe storms remain low. A few weak shortwaves may bring some intermittent light rain, particularly in far eastern Wisconsin. However, with limited instability, any thunder chances are minimal.
Marine Conditions
For those venturing out on Lake Michigan, a Small Craft Advisory is currently in effect due to easterly winds causing waves of 2 to 4 feet. Beach-goers should also be cautious, as a Beach Hazards Statement has been issued for Lake Michigan beaches.
As noted in the forecast, “the risk for organized heavier rainfall or severe storms is quite low over the next week.”
Overall, enjoy the warm and mostly dry conditions as we continue into next week with only sporadic chances of rain. Remember, for updated forecasts where you live check out our Forecasts Page.
