3 Things To Know:
- Above normal temperatures will continue through Friday, with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s.
- Dry conditions will persist until this weekend, when there’s a low chance for precipitation (10-30%).
- Forecast confidence decreases early next week as uncertainty regarding temperatures and rain chances increases.
Today Through Friday: Dry and Warm

Weather conditions in Western Wisconsin remain calm as we move through the week. A strong high-pressure system is creating a warm air flow, leading to above normal temperatures. Expect afternoon highs to reach the mid 60s to low 70s, with overnight lows only dipping into the 40s and 50s. This warmth is approximately 15-20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Confidence in these temperatures is high, with many forecasts suggesting a trend towards the upper range of what is expected.
Furthermore, fog could develop tonight into Wednesday morning, especially in river valleys, with a better chance for widespread fog occurring later in the week.

Weekend Outlook: Low Precipitation Chances
As we transition into the weekend, the dominant high-pressure ridge will begin to shift east. A low-pressure system moving across southern Canada could bring some transitional weather to our region. While there is a chance for precipitation this weekend, probabilities remain lowโaround 10-30%. The central parts of Minnesota may see more favorable conditions for rain than we will, so while we should remain alert, widespread rain is unlikely at this time.
Looking ahead to early next week, we enter a period of greater uncertainty. Forecast models show mixed outcomes regarding temperatures and precipitation chances, with some predicting dry conditions and others suggesting potential showers.
